Some people have tried therapy before and felt like they were just scratching the surface. If that’s you, you’re in the right place, or you may be someone who’s been trying to get through your struggles alone and thinking it’s time to get help from a professional, or maybe you’re both.
Hi,
I’m Chasity Jiles, LCSW, LADAC, ICADC, the founder of Prosper Counseling & Consulting Services, PLLC.
What do all those letters mean? LCSW, LADAC, ICADC; I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and dually licensed as a Licensed & Internationally Certified Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counselor.
I’ve been working in the mental health field for over 20 years, and what I’ve learned is that what brings most adults to therapy is anxiety, relationship troubles, depression, substance use, and feeling stuck have roots that go deeper than the presenting problem. Deep into family history, attachment, and patterns we were handed down long before you had a say in the matter.
That’s the work I do. Not just symptom management, but helping you understand the full picture of why you are the way you are and how to change what no longer serves you.
How I work
I’m direct, plain-spoken, and practical. I don’t use a lot of therapy jargon, and I don’t believe healing has to mean reliving every painful thing that’s ever happened to you. My approach integrates trauma-informed therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, attachment theory, and family systems work because, in my experience, you can’t fully address one without understanding the others.
For trauma processing, I incorporate evidence-based approaches, EMDR, and Brainspotting approaches that work at the level of the nervous system, not just the thinking mind. For clients navigating addiction and recovery, I bring my dual licensure in substance abuse counseling into the mix because nervous system dysregulation, difficulty coping, trauma, and substance abuse use are almost always intertwined, and treating them separately rarely works.
I also draw on Bowen family system theory, helping clients see the generational patterns at play in their lives and relationships, not to assign blame, but to finally make sense of things and understand what’s how to interrupt the cycles and create new, healthier cycles.
Your treatment plans are individualized to fit your specific needs for a true holistic approach, bridging the mind-body connection.
Research has shown that a strong therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors for successful outcomes. If, for any reason, I am unable to meet your current counseling needs, I will provide referrals to other qualified providers who specialize in your area of concern.
Who I Work With
I work primarily with adults dealing with trauma, anxiety, addiction, and recovery, life transition, and chronic illness. I see clients in person in Little Rock, Arkansas, and via telehealth in Arkansas, North Carolina, and Florida.
